It all started with changing my clothes one night. Noticing the lump for the first time, my mind went to an unfamiliar place. I thought to myself: No family history. I was healthy, I exercised, and I ate well. Plus, I'd had a mammogram just six months earlier. It couldn't be.
My journey started with a call to my physician first thing in the morning. I told the receptionist that I wasn't taking no for an answer, that with or without permission, I was coming in. By the time I had my examination, my physician chalked up my anxiety and the lump to drinking too much caffeine, thus causing a possible cyst...
