Warrior

In May 2010 I was diagnoised with breast cancer. By June I had a lumpectomy and the removal of 10 lymph nodes. Stage 2, Triple-negative breast cancer. 2 lymph nodes were affected. I immediately went into chemotherapy, and from there, radiation. Now, 18 months past treatments, I finally can say I am free from most of the effects. Every 3 month visit comes up clean, despite my frantic and frazzled thoughts it might return. My mom wasn't so lucky; she lost her life to TNBC almost 30 years ago. I am grateful for life and the ability to move forward!! I am grateful for my warrior mom who showed me how to to move through it all with grace and strength. To all my "sisters" out there, I send my love and support. Know that it will get easier, and all you need to do right now is stay positive, even if it's from your couch!! Be strong. Stay positive. Let love be your strength. You can do it. I promise, you really can.
