A Mothers Worst Fear

I would like to thank you for posting the touching video of Kellie supporting her friend Summer by shaving her head. I am a 28 year old mom of 4 girls, ages 6-1. I was diagnosed with 3 types of breast cancer this past July, invasive ductale carsinoma, DCIS which consumed my entire right breast, and mammory pagets disease. 12 of my lymph nodes were involved. I had a double mastectomy in August.
My daughter, Misty, is taking this the hardest. She is my 5 year old. She was concerned as to what I would look like without my hair. The timing of your video post could not have been more perfect. I showed my girls the video and then we had a "Momma head shaving party!" We then went out and bought matching hats!
I started my chemo journey this past Thursday, September 13th. I have a year of it and am facing radiation.
